Three Marshall Women’s Tennis Student-Athletes Named to C-USA All-Conference Teams

Liz Stefancic, Jutte Van Hansewyck and Anna Smith were tabbed various all-Conference USA women’s tennis squads
Huntington W.VA – Marshall tennis doubles duo of Liz Stefancic and Jutte Van Hansewyck were named to the all-Conference USA doubles first-team as Anna Smith was named to the all-conference singles second-team on Monday, as announced by the league office.
The duo of Stefancic and Van Hansewyck had an outstanding season together. They surpassed a huge feat after defeating the No. 3 ranked Martinelli and Gong of Yale. Stefancic led the team in doubles wins with a record of 14-7, followed by Van Hansewyck with a 13-7 record.
Anna Smith competed well for the Herd after playing in all 17 of the spring season matches. The junior from Venetia, Pa., had an overall (fall and spring) singles record of 13-9, while mainly competing in the No. 1 singles position. She collected seven of her wins in straight sets, two of those wins were against C-USA competition. She closed her season winning her last three decisions.
