HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University Thundering Herd men's basketball is back on the court after a two-week hiatus to take on the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers Friday in Bowling Green, Ky., and Sunday at the Cam Henderson Center.

Marshall was last on the court in Ruston, La., when it split a pair of games with Louisiana Tech on Jan. 1 and Jan. 2.
Andrew Taylor recorded his first double-double of the season with 13 points and 10 rebounds while falling an assist shy of a triple-double in the win on Jan. 2.
Jarrod West ranks fifth nationally in steals per game with 3.11, while his 6.8 assists per game rank 12th in the country.
Taevion Kinsey leads all guards, 19th overall, in NCAA Division I MBB with a 62.7 shooting percentage.
The Herd's 69 ranking in NET is the best under D'Antoni and second-best in Conference USA.
MU is averaging 5.8 blocked shots per game this season, eighth best in the nation.
West's 230 career steals rank fifth most in C-USA history. He is two away from passing South Florida's Cedric Smith who has 231 career takeaways.
Jannson Williams has 170 career blocks at Marshall. He's 10 away from tying Ajdin Penava for second at 180 and 12 from tying Hassan Whiteside as the program's all-time leader at 182.
Kinsey has scored 20 or more points in five of his last six games. The Columbus, Ohio, native has scored at least 10 points in his last 30 contests. His 21.4 points per game leads C-USA.
SCOUTING WESTERN KENTUCKY
Rick Stansbury returns for his fifth season at the helm of the Hilltoppers and has a record of 91-56.
Charles Bassey, who missed the majority of last season with an injury, has returned and leads Conference USA in blocks (39), field goals made (81), rebounds per game (11.8) and double-doubles with eight. His 141 rebounds are the most in the NCAA. The native of Lagos, Nigeria, is also leading WKU with 16.8 points per game and has earned C-USA Player of the Week four times this season.
Dayvion McKnight has a team-best 3.5 assists per game and was named C-USA Freshman of the Week on Nov. 30.
Taveion Hollingsworth is averaging 14.8 points per contest and has 20 steals this season, both good for second on WKU.
