HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- The College Swimming and Diving Association of America's Scholar All-America (CSCAA) announced Tuesday the Marshall University Swimming and Diving program tied for 14th highest grade point average (GPA) among all Division I institutions.

The team had an overall 3.75 GPA, which is ranked the highest among all Conference USA Swimming and Diving programs.

"We are so proud of our women and the resilience they've shown this semester," Marshall Head Swimming Coach Ian Walsh said. "The commitment to excellence in the classroom and in the pool is something that our program takes to heart and this semester is a testament to that.

"This was our second highest Team GPA in program history and the highest in C-USA this Fall. Our coaching staff continues to see, even during these challenging circumstances, the determination to represent this university, program and themselves at the highest level."
