Series History: First ever meeting
Marshall is coming off a hard-fought win against Morehead State on Friday, 65-58. The Herd trailed at the half by four, but found its offensive rhythm in the second half despite struggling to shoot from distance. Sophomore Savannah Wheeler led the team with 22 points and eight rebounds. CC Mays came through with 15 points, seven rebounds, and made a clutch steal with seconds remaining. Senior Brianah Ferby hit the shot of the night on a three-pointer with 1:19 left in the contest that stopped the Eagles momentum and built Marshall's lead back out to four.
With the win, head coach Tony Kemper earned his 50th career victory.
Wheeler leads the team in scoring through three games with 16.3 per contest. She needs 25 more points to reach 800 for her career. Wheeler has played in just 52 games during her time so far with the Green & White and is averaging nearly 15 points per game in her career.
Mays is second on the team with 14 points per game as she has started the season in double-figures in each contest. She leads Marshall in rebounds with 6.7 per game. Graduate student Kennedi Colclough and senior Aaliyah Dunham are both averaging double-digits with 12.7 and 10.0 points per game, respectively. Colclough needs two points to reach 700 in her career.
Junior Lorelei Roper and sophomore Alexis Johnson are both averaging over five boards per game with 5.7 and 5.3, respectively. Dunham leads the Herd in assists with 16 total, 5.3 per game, and steals with 13, 4.3 per game.
Following the game at Purdue, Marshall gets some time before going on the road for its next game at Michigan State on Sunday, Nov. 28.

The Boilermakers won the first three games of the season over WKU (79-69), Western Michigan (70-62) and then Illinois State (76-64). Purdue lost to Dayton 78-62 on Saturday. The Flyers shot 47.5-percent from the floor while the Boilermakers hit on 38.5-percent from the field. Dayton also outrebounded Purdue, 41-30.
