HUNTINGTON, W.Va.– The Marshall University Thundering Herd men's basketball team returns to the Cam Henderson Center for its first home games in nearly a month when it hosts Middle Tennessee on Friday and Saturday.

Marshall split a pair of contests at Old Dominion last weekend, falling 81-80 on Friday and winning 87-67 on Saturday.

Taevion Kinsey scored 22 points in the loss. It was his eighth game of 20 or more points this season.
Â
Jarrod West fell just short of a double-double in the defeat with 10 assists and nine points.
Â
Jannson Williams tied his season-high in blocks with five in the loss. Williams sits at 182 career blocks and is tied with Hassan Whiteside for the program record.

Andrew Taylor flirted with a triple-double in the win as he had 18 points, eight assists and seven rebounds. West tied him for the game-high in points with 18.

Kinsey went 8-for-11 with 17 points in the win, as Goran Miladinovic had 10 points and eight rebounds.
Â
West has 243 career steals, the third most in Conference USA history. The senior guard is averaging 2.73 takeaways per game, sixth best in Division I men's basketball.

Marshall is averaging 5.4 blocks per game, that's the best in C-USA and ninth best in the nation.

This will be the Herd's first home games since Jan. 17 and just the second and third home games of 2021.

SCOUTING MIDDLE TENNESSEE
The Blue Raiders ended a five-game losing streak by sweeping Charlotte at home last weekend. It is on its first two-game win streak of the season.

Dontrell Shuler leads Middle Tennessee in points per game and assists per game at 12.5 and 2.9 respectively.
Â
JV Milner-Criss leads the squad in rebounds with 5.7 per game as Jordan Davis has a team-best 27 steals.
