Marshall's last competition was the River Landing Classic back on March 9-10, 2020. The final three tournaments of the season, including the Conference USA Championships were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Herd did not compete in the fall of 2020 as Marshall, as well as Conference USA, opted to move all fall sports, other than football, to the spring of 2021.

Head coach Brooke Burkhammer returns an experienced squad with six returners and one newcomer. The returners for Marshall are seniors Stormy Randazzo and Kerri Parks, juniors Jackie Schmidt and Torren Kalaskey, and sophomores Makena Rauch and Peyton Schaffer. The sole newcomer is freshman Hanna Shrout.

Randazzo was the only player for Marshall who competed in all seven events in the 2019-20 season. She averaged 75.90 strokes per round. Parks led the team with 74.50 strokes per round and missed just one tournament. The Flushing, Mich., native's top finish of tied for fourth was at the Golfweek Program Challenge (Sept. 8-10). Schaffer competed in six events, Schmidt played in five, Kalaskey at three and Rauch at two.

Competing in the first tournament of the season for Marshall will be Parks, Randazzo, Schaffer, Kalaskey and Rauch.

The remainder of the women's golf schedule for the 2021 spring season is the River Landing Classic (March 8-9), UAB Spring Invite (March 15-16), Chattanooga Classic (March 29-30), a match with WKU (April 5), the Murray State Invite (April 9-10) and the Conference USA Championships (April 19-21).
