Marshall Swimming and Diving Finishes Day Two of Conference USA Championships

ATLANTA, Ga. — The Marshall University Women's Swimming and Diving team completed day two of the 2021 Conference USA Swimming and Diving Championships on Friday.

The Herd is currently sitting in fifth place overall with a score of 282, just seven points behind Florida Atlantic University, who is currently sitting in fourth overall at 289 total points.

Marshall reached the podium for the second day in a row with an all-conference performance in the 200-yard Medley Relay, which featured junior Raeleigh Mooij, freshmen Paige Banton and Klava Katayama, and senior Darby Coles.

Freshman Eszter Laban finished fourth overall in the 400-yd Individual Medley.

Saturday will be the final day of the three-day meet and will begin at 10:30 a.m. with preliminaries and wrap up at 6 p.m. with finals. Live stats, live stream, and heat sheets can be found here.

"Each session we've been able to build momentum as we've moved through this meet. This was another fantastic team effort through all events. We had our fourth medal performance from our 200 Medley Relay, nine All-Time Top-10 performances and 12 lifetime best performances."
