HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University Thundering Herd men's basketball team returns to action after a two-week hiatus to play the Old Dominion Monarchs in Norfolk, Va., on Friday and Saturday.

The last time out, the Herd swept a pair of games in Miami over FIU on Jan. 22 and Jan. 23.
Andrew Taylor recorded his second-double of the season with 16 points and 10 rebounds in the first game on Jan. 22, while Taevion Kinsey collected his second double-double of the season on Jan. 23 with 22 points and 12 rebounds, which tied his career-high.
MU leads Conference USA and is eighth in the country in blocked shots per game with 5.5.
Jarrod West, Kinsey and Taylor all sit in the top-10 in C-USA in assists with 78, 49 and 45, respectively. West sits 44th nationally in total assists.
Kinsey leads C-USA in points per game at 19.8, 33rd in Division I, while West is eighth in the country in steals per game with 2.85.
Jannson Williams is seven blocks away from breaking Hassan Whiteside's program record of 182 rejections in a career.
SCOUTING OLD DOMINION
Monarch head coach Jeff Jones is in his eighth season in Norfolk. ODU is returning to action for the first time since Jan. 16 when it played at Rice.
Coming into the weekend, the Monarchs led the conference in fewest turnovers and fewest fouls with 156 and 198, respectively.
Malik Curry comes into the weekend leading Old Dominion in scoring with 16.5 points per game, assists with 45 and steals with 23, all in the top-15 in C-USA.
Austin Trice leads the Monarchs in rebounding with 6.8 boards per game, while coming off the bench in every contest.
Kalu Ezikpe is second in scoring with 10.3 points per game as A.J. Oliver II is third at 10.2.
