Herd Tennis Travels to Charlotte

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University tennis team (3-4) is set to travel to Charlotte to take on the 49ers on Saturday at Noon and Presbyterian on Sunday at 1 p.m.

Marshall dropped a close 4-3 decision against Virginia Tech on Wednesday.

The Herd took the doubles point with wins by pairings of Madi Ballow/Madison Riley and Anna Smith and Daniela Dankanych.
Â
Dankanych and Ballow each won their singles matches on courts two and three, respectively. However, the Hokies took the other four singles matches to take the contest.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT: CHARLOTTE
The 49ers are 12-4 this season having won 10 of their last 12 contests. All four of Charlottes losses have come to ranked teams, No. 23 Furman, No. 16 Wake Forrest, No. 6 Duke and No. 1 North Carolina.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT: PRESBYTERIAN
The Blue Hose are 3-9 this season having won its last two contests at Longwood and at Gardner-Webb.

Presbyterian will play at Western Carolina before playing the Herd on Saturday in Charlotte.
