Marshall Tennis Drops First Weekend Match on the Road

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall's tennis dropped its first road match of the weekend, 6-1 to Charlotte.   
 
Charlotte swept the doubles competition with the 49er's Kaavya Sawhney and Ruxi Schech beating Liz Stefancic and Jutte Van Hansewyck, 6-3. The 49er's rounded out the first point after Rocio Safont and Emma Wilkins defeated Dani Dankanych and Anna Smith, 7-5.
 
The Herd's Jutte Van Hansewyck was the only player to secure a win today, when she beat Jenna Dean 7-6 (4), 6-1.
