Marshall Tennis Ends Weekend on a High Note

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Marshall tennis secured the 5-2, victory over Presbyterian College on Sunday, March 14 in Charlotte, N.C.

The Herd kicked it off with sweep in doubles after Anna Smith and Gabi Clairotte took the 6-1 win over Jessica Leeman and Lucianna Piedra. They were followed by Dani Dankanych/Anna Smith and Liz Stefancic/ Jutte Van Hansewyck beating their opponents, 6-4.

Gabi Clairotte kicked off the singles portion of the match with a 6-2, 7-6 win. She was the only player to beat her opponent in two sets.

Stefancic defeated her opponent, Alexa Wilson 6-0, 3-6, 6-3. Presbyterian took the next two sets leaving Ballow and Dankanych on the bottom.

The Herd wrapped it up with Van Hansewyck and Smith both securing victories.
