HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University men's basketball team is set to host the Charlotte 49ers on Friday and Saturday for the final weekend of the regular season.

Marshall split a pair of games this past weekend at home against North Texas. It fell on Friday, 77-65, and won on Saturday, 73-72.
Redshirt sophomore guard Andrew Taylor led the Herd in scoring both games with 15 points on Friday and tying his season-high of 20 points on Saturday to go with a career-high six steals.
Senior forward Mikel Beyers recorded the first double-double of his career with 14 points and a career-high 10 rebounds on Friday.
Senior guard Jarrod West missed Saturday's contest snapping a games played streak of 123 games in MU career.
Marshall leads Conference USA and is in the top 26 in Division I basketball in assist to turnover ratio (1.34), assists per game (16.4), blocked shots per game (5.1) and points per game (81.1).
Jarrod West leads C-USA in assist to turnover (2.69), assists per game (6.3), assists (113) and steals per game (2.56).
Junior guard Taevion Kinsey's 19.8 points per game and 55.8 shooting percentage are second in C-USA.
SCOUTING CHARLOTTE
The 49ers come into the contest on a six-game losing streak as it has been swept in its last three conference series by Middle Tennessee, Old Dominion and UTEP.
Charlotte is fourth in C-USA in points given up per game at 65.7, but are last in points per game at 63.3.
Jahmir Young is fourth in the conference in scoring with 18.4 points per game and is a two-time C-USA Player of the Week this season, Dec. 21 and Feb. 1.
Jordan Shepard is sixth in Conference USA in steals with 31 and is second on CLT in scoring at 11.0 points per game.
