Burkhammer Announces Women’s Golf 2021-22 Schedule

Herd begins season Sept. 12-13 at William & Mary
Marshall Women's Golf Schedule
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall women's golf head coach Brooke Burkhammer announced the Thundering Herd's 2021-22 schedule on Tuesday. The Herd tees off for the season Sept. 12-13 at the William & Mary Fall Invitational.
"I look forward to getting back to competition," coach Burkhammer said. "We will be competing against some of the best teams and at some great courses. I can't wait to see what the future holds for Herd women's golf."
Coach Burkhammer enters her sixth season leading the Marshall program. This past year, working through the COVID-19 pandemic, her team saw success on the course and in the classroom. All six of her players were members of the Conference USA Commissioners Honor Roll with four receiving the Academic Medal for maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or better, all while seeing improvement on the links.
Marshall lost just one player from last year's squad in senior Kerri Parks. Graduate student Stormy Randazzo leads the way inexperience with seniors Torren Kalaskey and Jackie Schmidt, junior Makena Rauch and sophomore Hanna Shrout. The Herd adds two freshmen for the upcoming season in Emily McLatchey and Katie Potter.
Following the season-opening event in Williamsburg, Va., Marshall travels to the Pirate Collegiate Classic (Sept. 21-22) hosted by East Carolina, the Courtney Cole Invitational (Oct. 4-5) hosted by Indiana, the Olde Stone Intercollegiate (Oct. 25-26) hosted by WKU and the Grandover Invitational (Nov. 1-2) hosted by UNC Greensboro to round out the fall season.
The Herd gets rolling again in the spring beginning with the First Coast Classic, Feb. 14-15, hosted by North Florida in Jacksonville, Fla. Marshall then plays in the River Landing Classic (March 7-8), hosted by UNC Wilmington, the Golfweek Any Given Tuesday Intercollegiate (March 28-30) and the Colonel Classic Invite (April 4-5) hosted by Eastern Kentucky.
Marshall then hits the road for the Conference USA Championships, April 18-20. The location has yet to be determined.
