No. 10 Men’s Soccer Back on the Road at (RV) Bowling Green

Kickoff set for Saturday at 8 p.m.
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The 10th-ranked Marshall men's soccer team is back in action with another road contest at (RV) Bowling Green. Kickoff against the Falcons is set for Saturday at 8 p.m., from Cochrane Stadium.
The Thundering Herd enters the match at 2-1-1. The Falcons are 3-0-1.

Marshall is coming off a 4-1 victory on the road over the East Tennessee State Bucs on Tuesday. The Herd has scored at least two goals in each match this season with 15 total. Seniors Vinicius Fernandes and Vitor Dias are both off to great starts offensively. Fernandes leads the team with four goals and 11 points. Both are career-highs. Dias has three goals and nine points. Fernandes and Dias are tied with fifth-year senior Pedro Dolabella for the team lead in assists with three.
Freshman Paulo Lino has two goals while six other players have one goal each. Senior Jan-Erik Leinhos along with juniors Max Schneider and Alex Adjetey have two assists each.
Following the match at Bowling Green, Marshall returns to Hoops Family Field for four-straight home contests beginning with No. 5 West Virginia on Friday, Sept. 17.

After beginning the season with a scoreless draw against IUPUI (Aug. 26), Bowling Green has rolled out three-straight wins, all on the road, over Gonzaga (2-1, OT), Cleveland State (3-0) and Michigan State (3-0). Logan Kowalczyk has played all 382 minutes in goal and allowed just one score. He sports a 0.24 goals against average, eight saves and an .889 save percentage.
Alberto Anaya leads the team with two goals. Six other players have scored one goal each. Kyle Cusimano and Sergi Martinez lead the team with two assists each.
The match against Marshall is the first of a four-game homestand for the Falcons. Bowling Green will next take on Wright State on Tuesday, Sept. 14.
