Tennis Begins Season at Day One of LU Invite

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Marshall University women's tennis team began its season at the LU Invite on Saturday.
"We had plenty of good matches today," Marshall head coach John Mercer said. "We did a lot of things well, but need to be more consistent. That will come with practice, but I'm excited about our team and their attitude."
In doubles, Gabrielle Clairotte/Emma Vanderheyden, Madi Ballow/Rieke Gillar and Aisling McGrane/Sophia Hurrion picked up victories over William & Mary pairings.
In singles action, Vanderheyden and McGrane took their singles matches against William & Mary as Liz Stefancic defeated her opponent from Liberty.
