Bilby, Jones in Top 20 after First Two Rounds at Georgia State Invitational

Bilby, Jones both tied for 18th
DULUTH, Ga. – The Marshall University men's golf team closed out the first two rounds at the Georgia State Invitational on Monday with senior Tyler Jones and sophomore Ryan Bilby finishing tied for 18th after the first 36 holes.
"Tyler and Ryan got off to a good start today and both finished the day in the top 20," Herd men's golf head coach Matt Grobe said. "Joseph (Kalasky) and Clayton (Thomas) played better this afternoon and gave us two good scores to count. Looking forward to tomorrow morning and the final round."
Bilby shot a two-under 70 during the first round with three birdies to just one bogey. Jones finished the first 18 holes with an even-par 72 with a team-best four birdies in the opening round.
Freshman Clayton Thomas and Jones collected the Herd's best scores during the second round with each student-athlete shooting two-over par (74). Thomas recorded four birdies during his final 18 holes of the day.
