Morgan White Named to United Soccer Coaches All-Region Team

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall women's soccer senior forward Morgan White was named to the 2022 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I Women's All-Southeast Region Third Team. White was one of just 10 Sun Belt Conference players to receive recognition as an All-Region player.
The forward from Cincinnati, Ohio becomes the first Marshall women's soccer player to earn the elite All-Region Honor since Abi Hugh did in 2020-2021.
White earned the All-Region recognition after scoring nine goals for the Herd this season, including two game-winners. Her 88th minute match winner over App State provided the program's first Sun Belt Conference win.
The senior's nine goals finished tied for second in the conference, with her 0.53 goals per game average finishing tied for second in the SBC as well. White also finished the season with four assists and logged 1,381 minutes of match action.
The high honor comes in addition to White being named to the Sun Belt First-Team All-Conference. Graduate senior midfielder Kat Gonzalez joined White, earning Sun Belt Second-Team All-Conference.
Over the first three seasons of her career with the Thundering Herd, White had scored six goals and provided seven assists. Morgan's breakout season in 2022 coincided with the Herd's most goals since 2019, their most conference points since 2018, and their most shots since 2015.
"So well deserved by Morgan," Marshall women's soccer head coach Michael Swan said. "Morgan has had a fantastic season and it shows the growth of the program these past 12 months. So proud of what she has achieved."
