Herd Tennis to Host Trio of Duals this Weekend

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University tennis team (5-4) returns home to take on WVU on Friday along with matches against Radford and the University of Charleston on Saturday.

The Herd fell to Furman, 6-1, and Virginia Tech, 6-1 last weekend.

Marshall took the doubles point in both matches. The pairings of Madi Ballow and Jutte Van Hansewyck and Liz Stefancic and Emma Vanderheyden won each of their doubles matches last weekend.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT: WVU
The Mountaineers have a 4-2 record this season.

WVU is on a two-match winning streak having beaten Duquesne and Youngstown State in its last two duals.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT: Radford
Radford sports a 2-1 record this season.

The Highlanders have defeated Blue State College and Appalachian State. They are coming off a 7-0 loss to William & Mary last weekend.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT: University of Charleston
The Golden Eagles are 3-2 during the 2021-22 season and are coming off a 5-2 win at Tusculum this past Saturday.
