Herd Welcomes Dukes and Spartans this Weekend

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University tennis team (7-7) returns to Huntington to host the James Madison Dukes on Friday and the Michigan State Spartans on Sunday.

The Herd fell to North Texas, 4-2, and FIU, 4-0, last weekend in Denton, Texas.

Against the Mean Green, Marshall took the doubles point behind victories by Emma Vanderheyden and Liz Stefancic on court one and Aisling McGrane and Gabrielle Clairotte on court three.

Madi Ballow won her singles contest in straight sets on court three.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT: James Madison
The Dukes are 4-7 this season. They are on a two-game skid having lost to Missouri and Mississippi State last weekend.

JMU's four wins have come against Georgetown, Cornell, Morgan State and Coppin State.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT: Michigan State
The Spartans are on a six-match win streak after dropping their first dual of the spring to Notre Dame.
