Against UNLV, the then-ranked No. 67 doubles pairing of Emma Vanderheyden and Liz Stefancic made quick work on court one in a 6-2 victory over Molly Helgesson and Zita Kovacs. Aisling McGrane and Gabrielle Clairotte took a decisive 6-4 triumph on court three against Aura Fang and CoCo Zhan to seal the doubles point for MU.

However, Stefancic took down Kovacs, the reigning Mountain West Player of the Week, in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4, on court two. Madi Ballow soon followed with a 6-4, 7-5, win on court three over Izumi Asano.

After Sophia Hurrion lost her match on court six, it came down to Marshall's Vanderheyden and UNLV's Helgesson on court one. Vanderheyden took set one 7-5, but fell in set two 6-2. The Herd freshman then cruised to a 6-2 third set win to take the contest for the visitors.

The Herd started doubles with a win on court three against UTSA as Aisling McGrane and Sophia Hurrion got the victory by walkover. Emma Vanderheyden and Liz Stefancic fell on court one 6-1. The pairing of Madi Ballow and Gabrielle Clairotte fought with Alexandra Zlatarova and Stanislava Bobrovnikova on court two. Marshall's duo staved off six match points to tie the contest 5-5. However, it fell to the UTSA pair 7-5 as the Road Runners took the doubles point.

In singles, Rieke Gillar tied the match 1-1 with a walkover victory on court six.

Hurrion then dropped just one point on court five in a straight sets win, 6-1, 6-0, over Sophie Omoworare.
