Yosef Named SBC Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week

The redshirt senior had a hat-trick against VCU
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall men's soccer redshirt senior forward Milo Yosef was named the Sun Belt Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday, as announced by the league office.
The native of Aachen, Germany, tallied the first goal of the season for the Herd just 2:31 into the season opener against VCU on a left-footed shot on a pass from Vinicius Fernandes. Yosef then sent home a right-footed volley in the 42nd minute off a pass Joao Souza to make it 2-0 Herd.
The forward then finished off his first career hat-trick in the 65th minute with a right-footed volley on a pass from Ibrahima Diop in the 5-0 Herd victory.
Yosef recorded the sixth multi-goal match of his career. With the three goals, he now has 22 in his career and sits in sole possession of seventh most in program history after going into the contest tied with Jamil Roberts at 19.
The forward also has 58 career points, tied with Roberts for seventh most in program history. His eight total shots and five attempts on goal in the victory are both career highs.
Marshall is back in action on Friday night at Hoops Family Field against the No. 7 Pitt Panthers. First kick is scheduled for 7 p.m.
