Game Notes | Coach Kemper Presser
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - The Marshall women's basketball team (9-6, 2-2 Sun Belt) returns to Sun Belt play this Thursday at Coastal Carolina.
Despite a tough result in the team's last game, freshman guard Peyton Ilderton looks to carry the momentum built when Marshall erased a 21-point fourth quarter deficit to take a late lead against Georgia Southern.
"Just not giving up, I think that is something great about our team," Ilderton said. "No matter how far down, we are going to come back and give it our all until the final buzzer."
Ilderton is one of ten newcomers to see game action for Head Coach Tony Kemper's team this season. The Logan native earned a scholarship last week after initially joining the Herd as a preferred walk-on. WATCH: ILDERTON EARNS SCHOLARSHIP
