BALTIMORE, Md. – The Marshall University tennis team finished strong at the Greyhound Women's Tennis Classic with the pairing of Gabrielle Clairotte and Emily Schut winning the Green Draw. The pairing of Rieke Gillar and Andjela Lopicic took the consolation final.
Clairotte and Schut began the Green Draw finals with a dominating 6-1 win over Towson's Mya Spencer and Ashira Murray. The Herd pairing then sealed the Green Draw as Schut won via walkover against Spencer in singles.
Rieke Gillar and Andjela Lopicic swept the consolation finals over Loyola Marymount University's Christine Richiez and Emi Shivkumar. Gillar and Lopicic won the doubles contest 6-2 as Gillar took down Richiez and Lopicic defeated Shivkumar in singles, both in straight sets.
