HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University Tennis team travels to Columbia, South Carolina, for the Gamecock Shootout this weekend beginning on Friday. The event is hosted by the South Carolina Gamecocks.

The Herd is coming off action at the ITA Atlantic Regional in Lynchburg, Virginia, last week.

The doubles pairing of Sophia Hurrion and Aisling McGrane reached the round of 16 at the event.
Â
In singles action, Emma Vanderheyden defeated No. 39 Ozlem Uslu of Virginia Tech to reach the round of 32.

Hurrion also reached the round of 32 in singles play at the event.
