HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University Men's Basketball team is set to host the UPike Bears on Sunday at 3 p.m. for its first 'Fans First' contest leading up to the 2023-24 regular season.

PROMOTIONS: FANS FIRST - $10,000 Worth of Giveaways!
Marshall University Athletics will be giving away $10,000 worth of giveaways during Sunday's Fans First games. Giveaways include: Promotional items at the door, season tickets, pizza, bookstore gift cards and more! Fans will be given a raffle ticket upon entry. Fans will then be able to put their raffle ticket in the box for whichever item they are hoping to win. During the timeouts of the two Fans First games, a winner will be drawn for the prizes.

PRE-GAME NOTES
- Dan D'Antoni returns for his 10th season as head coach of the men's basketball program. He enters the season with a 164-128 record.
- Kamdyn Curfman and Obinna Anochili-Killen were each named to the 2023-24 preseason all-Sun Belt Conference second-team.
- Curfman enters the season with the second most made three pointers among active players at 374.
ABOUT THE BEARS
- UPIKE is coming off a 20-13 season in 2022-23. It reached the second round of the NAIA Men's Basketball Tournament.
- The Bears were picked to finish second in the Appalachian Athletic Conference Preseason Poll and received 15 points in the NAIA national preseason rankings.
- A familiar face will return to Huntington with former Herd student-athlete Jeremy Dillon on the roster. Dillon was with Marshall from 2018-22.
