Marshall Men’s Golf Signs Cael Ropietski

Pennsylvania native finished T-2 in State Championships; qualified for U.S. Junior Am
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall Men's Golf coach Matt Grobe announced the addition of Pennsylvania native Cael Ropietski to the Herd Men's Golf team on Wednesday.
Ropietski signed with the Thundering Herd on Wednesday morning as a member of the Class of 2024.
"We are really excited to have Cael join us next year!" Grobe said. "Cael has had an incredible junior golf career and continues to work hard and improve. He will be a great addition to our team and we are looking forward to him joining us next fall."
Ropietski comes to Marshall from Harvey's Lake, Pennsylvania, where he competed for Lake-Lehman High School.
Ropietski finished tied for 2nd in the 2023 PIAA Class 2A State Championships, which were played at Penn State University.
In addition to finishing T-2 with Lake-Lehman teammate Michael Lugiano, Ropietski enjoyed a successful year that also saw him win the Tom Tryba Classic at Fox Hills Country Club.
Ropietski also qualified for the U.S. Junior Amateur by earning medalist honors in qualifying at Huntsville Golf Club. He also made it through to the sectional level for U.S. Open qualifying.
