Herd Tennis Downs Bearcats in Road Win, 6-1

Marshall takes six of seven matches
CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Marshall University tennis team (4-3) closes week with a 6-1 road win over the Cincinnati Bearcats (2-6) on Sunday in Cincinnati.
"We played well in all spots today," Herd tennis head coach John Mercer said after the win. "We're learning after each match and it's great to see."
The Herd took the doubles point for the sixth straight match behind wins from Sophia Hurrion/Aisling McGrane at number two and Gabrielle Clairotte/Rieke Gillar at number three.
Marshall then took five of the six singles contests with Johanna Strom, Doroteja Joksovic, Andjela Lopicic and Hurrion winning in straight sets as Emma Vanderheyden won her match at number singles in a supertiebreak third set. Hurrion sealed the match with her win at number six singles.
