Strom Named SBC Women’s Tennis Player of the Week

Freshman went 3-0 last week
NEW ORLEANS – Marshall University women's tennis student-athlete Johanna Strom was named Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week on Wednesday, as announced by the league office.
The freshman from Stockholm, Sweden, went a perfect 3-0 last week pairing with Emma Vanderheyden at number one singles for a doubles win at WVU to go singles victories at number three against WVU and number two at Cincinnati. The duo was leading 5-4 at number one doubles at Cincinnati when the Herd clinched the doubles point.
Strom is 7-0 in her last doubles and singles matches in the team's last four duals.
