Herd Tennis Hosts Penn State Saturday, VCU Sunday

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University tennis team (3-0) welcomes the Penn State Nittany Lions (2-3) and VCU Rams (0-4) for duals this weekend.

The Herd is 3-0 to start its dual season after picking up wins last weekend over University of Charleston, 7-0, and Bellarmine, 6-1.

MU took 17 of the 18 contested matches with Emma Vanderheyden clinching the match against the Golden Eagles and Doroteja Joksovic sealing the dual against the Knights.

SCOUTING PENN STATE
The Nittany Lions enter the weekend 2-3 after sweeping Harvard, 7-0, and falling 5-2 at LSU last weekend.

Olivia Darner is 4-1 this spring in singles, taking all four of her matches on court five, while Sofiya Chekhlystova is 3-2 at number one singles.

SCOUTING VCU
The Rams enter the weekend 0-4.

VCU took part in the ITA Kickoff Weekend last week playing its matches in Durham, North Carolina. It fell to fifth-ranked Duke and SMU 0-4 in both matches.
