PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. – Marshall's women's golf team ended its run at the Golfweek/AGT Intercollegiate on Wednesday afternoon.
On a tough day for scoring, sophomore Emily McLatchey shot a 3-over 74 to lead the Thundering Herd, who finished 11th in the team standings. McLatchey finished the tournament in 16th place.
McLatchey was square through her first nine after nailing a birdie on No. 17 – her eighth hole of the day – to atone for an earlier birdie. However, she was unable to scrape together any more birdies en route to a final round 74.
Olivia Kochan's day started with a birdie and she later found two more birdies on her final nine en route to a 79 that left her in 45th place overall.
Kochan accounted for three of the eight birdies Marshall saw as a team on Wednesday.
Marshall's women's golf team gets back to action pretty quickly as they return to Huntington for a few days, then head to Richmond, Kentucky for the Colonel Classic, which starts on Monday.
