T&F Heads to Nashville for Final Tune-Up Before Conference Championship

Two-day event at Vanderbilt starts Friday
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — The Marshall track and field team travels to the Outdoor Music City Challenge hosted by Vanderbilt University in Nashville. The two-day meet begins on Friday at 2:00 p.m. ET/1:00 p.m. CT.Â

"We are very excited to go to Vanderbilt for our final tune-up before the Conference Championship," Head Track and Field Coach Jeff Small said. "We will be a little short handed due to graduation but we look forward to some more great performances from our teams."
The meet will be the final meet for Marshall before the team competes in the Sun Belt Outdoor Championship starting on May 11 at Coastal Carolina. Following the conference championship, qualifying marks will compete at the NCAA Preliminary Championships in Jacksonville at the end of May.Â
