Consistent rounds of 72 and 74 have her in contention entering final day
RICHMOND, Ky. – Marshall's Olivia Kochan put together a pair of solid rounds to be in the top-5 at the end of the first two rounds at the Colonel Classic, hosted by Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, Kentucky.
Kochan shot an Even-par 72 in her opening round, then followed it with a 2-over 74 to sit in a tie for fifth place with six other players after two rounds of play at the event.
Kochan had a pair of birdies in her final four holes to finish strong with the 72 in the first round before battling through some early adversity for the strong finish that leaves her just four shots out of the lead heading into Tuesday's final round.
As a team, Marshall sits in 13th place as action shifts to Tuesday's final 18, which starts at 9 a.m.
Austin Peay leads the team portion by six strokes going into the final day.
