Bilby Finishes Third at 104th West Virginia Amateur

Herd junior was lone golfer in field with three rounds under par
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall junior golfer Ryan Bilby wrapped up a strong week with another 1-under 69 to finish third at the 104th West Virginia Amateur, hosted by The Greenbrier Resort.
Bilby's final round 69 solidified him as the lone golfer in the field with three or four rounds under par. He finished at 1-under in each of the last three rounds of the tournament.
Bilby's 69 was one of only three rounds under par in the final round as Old White showed its teeth with the tournament coming down the stretch.
Barboursville's Cameron Jarvis also had one of the other two rounds under par to claim the title by five strokes over former Marshall golfer Davey Jude with Bilby one shot behind Jude.
Bilby's final round culminated a strong final day for Marshall's contingent of golfers at the 104th West Virginia Amateur.
Christian Boyd's steady climb up the leaderboard ended with an Even par 70 in the final round that left him in a tie for seventh overall.
Joseph Kalaskey also finished with a top-15 finish after a final round 72 that left him in a tie for 14th.
Clayton Thomas ended his tournament tied in 29th after shooting a 75 on Wednesday, which was two strokes better than his second round outcome at Old White on Monday.
