Marshall Volleyball Earns 2023 USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University volleyball team was earned the 2023 United States Marine Corps/American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award, as announced by the AVCA on Thursday.

To be named a USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award recipient, a team must maintain at least a 3.3 GPA during the academic year. During 2022-23, the Herd maintained a 3.38 team GPA.

The 2023 volleyball season is right around the corner. Make sure to grab your season tickets for the year starting at just $25. MU's first home contest will be an exhibition against Ohio at 6 p.m. on August 18 with its first regular-season home match coming on August 31 at the Marshall Invitational against Morehead State at 6:30 p.m.
