Herd Men’s Golf Honored As GCAA All-Academic Team

Marshall one of 93 Div. I schools to earn award

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall's Men's Golf was recognized by the Golf Coaches Association of America as an All-Academic Team on Thursday afternoon.
The honor goes to teams who have a cumulative team GPA of 3.0 or above for the year.
"It's very exciting for us as a program to be honored by the GCAA," Marshall men's golf coach Matt Grobe said. "Being an All-Academic Team means that our student-athletes are excelling in all aspects at Marshall."
The announcement comes one day after Marshall senior golfer Tyler Jones was honored by the GCAA as an All-American Scholar.
In all, 266 teams across six divisions were recognized by the GCAA as All-Academic Team honorees.
