HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The No. 1 Marshall University men's soccer team (7-0, 1-0 Sun Belt) returns to Hoops Family Field for its Sun Belt Conference home opener against No. 3 UCF (4-0-2, 0-0-1 Sun Belt) for a top-three clash on Saturday.

Saturday is Senior Night for Herd men's soccer. The team will honor Alexander Adjetey, Adam Aoumaich, Gabriel Perrotta, Gabe Sitler and Aymane Sordo in a pregame ceremony.

PRE-MATCH NOTES
- Marshall opened Sun Belt Conference action at No. 9 James Madison with a 3-1 win in Harrisonburg.
- In the Herd's last 13 contests, it has given up just seven goals, going 10-2-1 during that stretch, including winning its last seven matches.
- Matthew Bell earned his second SBC Offensive Player of the Week award on Tuesday. The Kingston, Jamaica, native leads the country with 17 points on six goals, tied for third in the conference, and five assists, ranking ninth nationally and a top the SBC.
- Marco Silva has put together quite the redshirt freshman campaign. He sits a point behind Bell at 16, ranking third in the nation, and is tied for second in Division I men's soccer with seven goals.
- Perrotta has recorded the victory in goal in all seven of MU's contests this season with 3.5 shutouts and the second-best save percentage and goals against average in the conference.
- The Herd leads the country in several statistics, including goal differential (22), scoring offense (3.57 goals per game), goals (25) and points (75) while ranking second in assists (25).
ABOUT THE KNIGHTS
- UCF enters the match 4-0-2 playing three contests against ranked teams this season, including a 2-1 win its season opener at then-ranked No. 9 Clemson.
- The Knights drew with WVU, 2-2, at home on Saturday in the team's SBC opening contest.
- UCF is lead in goals by Lucca Dourado, who has four this season. Dourado tallied a game-winning score in a 2-0 win over Brown on September 9.
- Juanvi Munoz has been a staple in goal for the Knights allowing seven goals in six contests while making 21 saves.
