Trip will be Marshall’s first to Carter-Finley Stadium since 2017

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall's Oct. 7 contest at N.C. State will be a 2 p.m. kickoff at Carter-Finley Stadium in Raleigh, North Carolina, and will be shown nationally on the CW network, the Sun Belt Conference released on Monday.
The game was announced as part of the 12-day window agreement between the Sun Belt and its television contract with ESPN.
When Marshall and N.C. State meet at Carter-Finley Stadium, it will be the Thundering Herd's first trip there since 2017 and the first time the teams have met since 2018.
Following a win over Virginia Tech on Saturday, the Thundering Herd will also be looking for its second win of the 2023 season over a Power Five opponent and its third in the last two seasons.
Heading into this weekend's contests, Marshall is undefeated at 3-0 as they take on Old Dominion in the first Sun Belt Conference matchup of the year.
N.C. State is currently 3-1 heading into this Friday's matchup with undefeated Louisville in Raleigh, North Carolina.
The Big Green and Marshall Alumni Association will be hosting a tailgate outside of Carter-Finley Stadium prior to the contest. Details on that tailgate will be made available in the near future.
