Aoumaich Named SBC Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week

NEW ORLEANS – Senior Marshall men's soccer student-athlete Adam Aoumaich earned his first Sun Belt Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week honor of the season on Tuesday, as announced by the league office. The Herd has earned four of the first five SBC Offensive Player of the Week awards this season.
Aoumaich, a France and United States international, stepped up in a big moment for the top-ranked Herd on Saturday in a 1-0 win over No. 3 UCF. Aoumaich tallied the game-winning goal, his fourth of the season, on a cross from Pablo Simon in the 25th win to help MU to the victory in the top-three matchup.
The game-winner was Aoumaich's second this season as he also has a pair of assists for 10 points during the season.
No. 1 Marshall is back in action Wednesday night in Richmond, Virginia, as it closes out non-conference play against VCU at 7 p.m.
