Herd Swimming and Diving Begins Season with Green & White Meet

The intrasquad scrimmage begins at 9:30 a.m.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University swimming & diving team begins its season at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday in Frederick A. Fitch Natatorium with its Green & White Meet.
"We are excited to showcase our team in front of family, friends, alumni and fans Saturday morning," Herd swimming and diving head coach Ian Walsh said about the meet. "It will be a good indicator of where we are in our training and how our team has handled the first six-week block this fall."
The intrasquad meet will feature 16 events as fans get their first look at the 2023-24 swimming and diving team.
"The staff has had a lot of fun coaching this group so far and the team has really embraced our training and approach. We look forward to shifting into more of a racing mindset and get some reps in before traveling to Morgantown next weekend," Walsh said.
This year's team features 30 student-athletes, including 10 newcomers, in its first season in the Sun Belt after competing in the Missouri Valley Conference during the 2022-23 season.
