HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - The Sun Belt Conference-leading Marshall women's basketball team (14-5, 8-0 SBC) travels to face the top offensive rebounding team in the nation, Georgia Southern (13-7, 3-5 SBC).Â

PRE-GAME NOTES
- Marshall's win over JMU Wednesday night tied a program-record for best start to league play in team history. The Herd's 8-0 start matches Coach Judy Southard's team opening to the 1988-89 Southern Conference season. Â
- Entering play Saturday, Marshall holds a one-game lead over Troy atop the SBC standings. The Herd and Trojans do not meet in the 2023-24 regular season.
- Marshall is seeking its first win in Statesboro since Feb. 10, 1997.
