Looks to repeat as champions

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University Swimming and Diving team heads north for the West Virginia Games in Morgantown, West Virginia, Friday and Saturday. Friday's events are scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. with Saturday starting at 11 a.m.
The meet is scheduled to include nine teams competing this weekend, Marshall, WVU, West Virginia Wesleyan, Davis & Elkins, Salem University, Fairmont State, Bethany College, West Virginia Tech and Wheeling University.
The Herd looks to repeat as champions after winning the event in 2023. Last year, The Herd took the event with 1,340.5 points besting the host Mountaineers by 40 points. MU won nine events at the 2023 WV Games with Grace Kelsheimer in the 3m Dive, Mia McBride in the 100 Backstroke, Molly Warner in the 200 Freestyle, Eszter Laban in the 1,000 and 500 Freestyle, Madeline Hart in the 100 Butterfly, Gabrielle Ivey in the 200 Backstroke and in the 200 and 400 Freestyle Relay.
