HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University Men's Basketball team (1-0) readies for a pair of home games across the weekend with a contest against the Toledo Rockets (0-1) on Saturday at 2 p.m. and the Southern Indiana Screaming Eagles (0-1) Monday at 7 p.m.

- The Herd opened the Corny Jackson era and 2024-25 season with a 90-57 win over the David & Elkins Senators on Monday.
- With 15 points and 11 rebounds, Wyatt Fricks registered a double-double to open the campaign.
- Joining Fricks in double figure scoring were Obinna Anochili-Killen (18), Nate Martin (15) and Ryan Nutter (11).
ABOUT THE ROCKETS
- Tod Kowalczyk enters his 15th season at the helm of Toledo after leading the team to its fourth consecutive Mid-American Conference Title last season.
- The Rockets began its season on Monday with an 84-74 loss at Troy in the MAC-SBC Challenge.
- Javan Simmons led his side with 19 points and eight rebounds in the contest against the Trojans.
ABOUT THE SCREAMING EAGLES
- Stan Gould is in his fifth season as head coach at Southern Indiana with the school entering its third season in Division I.
- The Screaming Eagles fell at DePaul 80-78 in overtime on Monday in the team's season opener and plays Buckell on Thursday before making its way to Huntington.
- USI had a pair of 20-point scorers Monday at DePaul with Stephen Olowoniyi registering 23 and Jayland Randall tallying 22 points.
