HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Marshall fans will have their first opportunity to see the defending Sun Belt Conference Champion Herd in the regular season at home Sunday. Coach Juli Fulks's team hosts Northern Kentucky from the Cam Henderson Center at 1 p.m.

Coach Juli Fulks
- On Apr. 12, 2024, Coach Juli Fulks became the ninth head coach in the history of the Herd.
- Fulks - the 2024 WBCA DIII Coach of the Year - joins Marshall with 400 career victories in 20 seasons, winning the 2023 NCAA Division III Women's Basketball National Championship.
PRE-GAME NOTES
- Junior guard CC Mays set a new career-high with 20 points in the Herd's season-opener at Toledo. She is one of 10 returning players from a season ago and - alongside Aarionna Redman - is the longest-tenured member of the roster.
- Of Marshall's six newcomers to the 24-25 squad, junior forward TreShondra Williams and senior guard Madison Kellione each were part of the starting-five Monday night. Kellione led the team with four assists from the point-guard role.
- Marshall was 11-1 in the Cam Henderson Center last season. Herd fans will be able to view the SBC Championship and NCAA Tournament appearance banners on the east wall of the arena unveiled at the Fans First exhibition game last month.
- Marshall and NKU have had seven previous meetings, with the Norse winning six. The Herd lost by 10 in the Greater-Cincinnati area showdown last November.

ABOUT NKU
- Northern Kentucky is 0-2 this season after losses to 2024 NCAA Tournament team Middle Tennessee and the SEC's Kentucky. After those two contests, graduate transfer Halle Idowu is leading the team with 10.5 points per game, and 4.5 rebounds per game.
- The Norse also feature Charleston native and George Washington High School graduate Kalissa Lacy. The senior guard leads the team with two assists per contest.
- Like Marshall, NKU has a first-year Division I coach with a high level of success at previous stops. Jeff Hans is in his first season with the Norse after 13 winning seasons at nearby Thomas More University.
- Fulks and Hans each won a DIII National Championship, Hans with the Saints won the 2016 edition, while Fulks won with Transylvania in 2023. The two sides met in the 2019 NCAA DIII Tournament.
