STATESBORO, Ga. – Marshall University Men's Basketball (12-18, 7-10 Sun Belt) fell 87-73 Wednesday night on the road to the Georgia Southern Eagles (7-23, 7-10 Sun Belt) in Statesboro, Georgia.

Kevon Voyles tallied a team-high 22 points for his fourth game of 20 or more points this season. The graduate student added six rebounds and four assists to his stat line.

"It was a tough game," Herd men's basketball head coach Dan D'Antoni said. "We're playing hard enough. We just can't sustain scoring. We have to find a way to get easier looks."

Cameron Crawford followed with 14 points off the bench as Obinna Anochili-Killen and Kamdyn Curfman followed with 11 and 10 points, respectively.

With 10 rebounds, Nate Martin registered his 19th double-figure rebounding effort of the season.

The Herd had the hot shooting hand in the first half making 51.4 percent (18-of-35) from the field, including 40 percent (6-for-15) from three-point range.

Marshall battled with the Eagles early in the second half of play, but a field draught in the middle of the final 20 minutes was too much to overcome.

MU won the battle on the offensive glass 13-9.
