Herd Tennis Drops Conference Opener at ODU

NORFOLK, Va. – The Marshall University Tennis (9-6, 0-1 Sun Belt) dropped its Sun Belt Conference opener to the Old Dominion Monarchs (5-5, 1-0 Sun Belt) in Norfolk, Virginia, on Saturday.

"We need to the big points better," Herd tennis head coach John Mercer said after the match. "I know we can do it."

In singles, Johanna Strom took her contest in a three-set battle on court two. The sophomore came back after falling in the first set 7-5, taking sets two and three 6-1 and 6-2, respectively.
