Marshall Volleyball Hires Maci Watrous As Director of Operations

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall Volleyball coach Ari Aganus announced the hiring of Maci Watrous as the program's Director of Volleyball Operations.
Watrous comes to Marshall from Ohio University where she served as a volunteer assistant on the staff following her career with the Bobcats.
"I am thrilled to announce the addition of Maci," Aganus said. "Through the hiring process, she absolutely knocked it out of the park. She recently played for a successful, high-level program and wants to be in this profession for reasons that align with our program, athletic department and university. She's going to make an immediate impact to make the student-athlete experience top-tier."
At Ohio, Watrous was a defensive specialist/libero for the Bobcats, finishing her career with 962 digs and 63 service aces while serving as a team captain in the 2023 season.
Watrous set her career high in digs on Oct. 6, 2023, when she tallied 24 in a match against Western Michigan.
In 2022, she recorded her top individual season, collecting 315 digs with 199 coming in conference play as she averaged 2.97 per set.
Watrous' success was not limited to being on the court, though. The Coppell, Texas, native was a four-time Academic All-MAC selection and a four-time Ohio University Dean's List honoree while also being a two-time recipient of the Heart of Ohio Award.
While at Ohio, Watrous also was part of Ohio University's Strategic Leadership Program, which was a select group of students that joined with university staff to develop leadership skills while also cultivating important forward-thinking initiatives to move the university forward.
