HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall Men's Golf coach Matt Grobe announced the 2024-25 schedule for the Thundering Herd on Tuesday.

The schedule – split between fall competition and spring championship seasons – features 13 total events, highlighted by the annual Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational at Guyan Golf and Country Club.

Marshall is coming off a successful year in 2023-24 in which they finished third during stroke play at the 2024 SBC Championships and advanced to Match Play.

"We have a wonderful schedule again this year!" Marshall Men's Golf coach Matt Grobe said. "We have some fantastic championship courses and some great competition, too. We are really excited to get the year started in a couple weeks."

Marshall's home event kicks off the year with several teams coming to Guyan Golf and Country Club for the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational, which takes place Sept. 9-10.

That is the first events in a fall schedule of six events that also sees the Herd travel to North Carolina, Ohio, Indiana and Pennsylvania.

"It's always nice to start at home and the team loves playing Guyan to start our year," Grobe said. "We will stay more regional in the fall, but when the spring hits, we will travel south to prepare for the Sun Belt Conference Championship at Annandale Golf Club."

The spring gets underway Feb. 1 when select golfers take part in the Thomas Sharkey Individual Collegiate, hosted by Georgia Southern. The first team event is the Loyola Intercollegiate in Goodyear, Ariz., Feb. 16-18.

The Loyola Intercollegiate takes the team to Goodyear, Ariz., before a southeast tour features trips to Georgia, Alabama and South Carolina. Marshall also takes part in the 2025 Mountaineer Invitational, hosted by WVU, as a tune-up before the 2025 SBC Championships, which are scheduled for April 21-24 at Annandale Golf Club in Madison, Miss.

Marshall will be led by a strong returning nucleus of golfers, including seniors Ryan Bilby, Joseph Kalaskey and Clayton Thomas. The Herd also adds Division III All-American and graduate transfer J.F. Aber, who qualified for the 2024 U.S. Amateur over the summer.
