No. 7 Marshall Men’s Soccer to Host ODU Sunday

Herd set for SBC home opener against the Monarchs

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The No. 7 Marshall University Men's Soccer team (6-1-1, 1-0-0 SBC) welcomes the Old Dominion Monarchs (4-3-1, 0-1-0 SBC) on Sunday for the team's Sun Belt Conference home opener. First kick is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
Sunday is Herdtober Fest at the stadium featuring a Marshall women's and men's soccer doubleheader. One ticket can allow spectators admission to both contests, but as a reminder with Marshall's Safe to Stay policy, fans would have to purchase an additional ticket upon leaving and re-entering.

- Lineker Rodrigues dos Santos tallied his team-leading third goal of the season on an assist from Loic Sany Kong. Rodrigues dos Santos is tied for the team lead in points with Alexander Stjernegaard at eight.
- Goalkeeper Dan Rose picked up his second win and shutout in the triumph over the Rams making four saves.
- Marshall ranks 13th in the country in goal differential at +12.

- ODU enters its contest in Huntington dropping its SBC opener 1-0 to No. 6 West Virginia on Saturday.
- Goalkeeper Michael Statham is tied for the most minutes played in goal in the conference at 720 and is second in saves at 30.
- Key White is tied with Stjernegaard for the second most assists in the SBC at four with Michael Eberle leading his team with three goals.
