PREMATCH NOTES
- Marshall welcomes a pair of newcomers to begin the spring season in Nour El Ouazzani and Alina Mokrynskaya.
- Last year The Herd finished with an 18-8 record during the spring, 9-2 in Sun Belt Conference play, to earn the second seed at the 2024 SBC Tournament.
- Aisling McGrane and Nel Van Hout enter the season ranked tied for 107th in doubles.
SCOUTING CLEVELAND STATE
- The Vikings were picked to finish first in the 2025 Horizon League Preseason Poll with 47 points and five of the seven first place votes.
- CSU reached the Horizon League Championship match in 2024, falling 4-2 to Chicago State.
SCOUTING YOUNGSTOWN STATE
- The Penguins were tabbed to finish second in the 2025 Horizon League Preseason Poll garnering a pair of first place votes and 44 points.
- YSU fell in the 2024 Horizon League Semifinals to eventual Horizon League Champion Chicago State, 4-2.
