HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Marshall women's basketball continues its season-long four game road trip this week with a pair of games in the state of Virginia, starting with a showdown Thursday at JMU. Tip from Harrisonburg is at 7 p.m. Thursday before the Herd faces Old Dominion in Norfolk Saturday.

Coach Juli Fulks
- On Apr. 12, 2024, Coach Juli Fulks became the ninth head coach in the history of the Herd.
- Fulks - the 2024 WBCA DIII Coach of the Year - joins Marshall with 400 career victories in 20 seasons, winning the 2023 NCAA Division III Women's Basketball National Championship.
PRE-GAME NOTES
- Marshall is 5-9 overall while dropping its first three league games this season. The Herd is averaging 58.0 PPG in the first three contests.
- After three games in league play, Preseason All-Sun Belt Aislynn Hayes leads the league with 17.2 PPG. She is fifth in scoring in league-only games with 16.3 PPG.
- Third quarters have doomed Marshall thus far in conference play. The Herd is being outscored 55-27 in the first 10 minutes after halftime in the team's first three games.
- The Herd was much more efficient from three in its last contest at Troy Saturday, connecting on 12 triples. A Marshall team which shot 34 percent from deep in non-conference play rebounded from 14 percent and 20 percent 3-point shooting nights in its first two games of SBC competition.

ABOUT JMU
- JMU is 11-4 overall, 3-0 in conference play. The league preseason-favorites are 5-1 at home, with its lone loss in Harrisonburg coming to #4 Texas.
- JMU's Peyton McDaniel was named the 2024-25 SBC Preseason Player of the Year. She is averaging 14.4 PPG with four double-doubles this season.
- Former Herd guard Ro Scott is averaging 12.9 PPG with the Dukes.
- Thursday will be the first of two regular season meetings between the sides within six days. Marshall returns to the Henderson Center next week on Jan. 15 to welcome the Dukes. It will also be a rematch of last season's title game where Marshall won, 95-92 in dramatic overtime fashion to reach the NCAA Tournament. JMU leads the all-time series, 8-4.
ABOUT OLD DOMINION
- Old Dominion enters the week also 11-4 and undefeated in conference play.
- En'Dya Buford is averaging 12.6 PPG to lead the Monarchs.
- ODU leads the all-time series, 14-9.
